1st Grade- James Rizzi inspired buildings

First graders learned about the life of James Rizzi an American Pop Artist. James Rizzi's style is a fun and simple style to imitate. We talked about the line one of the important elements of art and also how to draw overlapping buildings. Students gave silly faces for the buildings. We talked about different shapes of eyes, nose and mouth. We also added teeth and tongue:) Students used bright and contrasting colors for their buildings. First graders found this lesson so much fun!!
