History of African Masks
Our 2nd graders learned about the history and functions of African Masks. To support their understanding, they get to design their own African masks and used acrylic paint to enhance their drawings.

Welcome to our blog:
Our art curriculum is based on exploration in arts and provides opportunity for students to express and explore with wide range of materials through drawing, painting, working with clay, construction, fabric and craft materials . Art lessons and projects are developed to demonstrate the understanding of how to use elements of art( line, space, shape and form, colors, texture) and principles of art(Balance, emphasis, movement, proportion, rhythm, unity, and variety). Each grade level will have experience working with a variety of materials and explore different genre like portraits, landscapes, still life, cityscapes, cartoon, abstract etc., Each grade will be introduced to art history and learn about the lives and work of masters and contemporary artists and create a master piece inspired by famous painting from art history.
