3rd Grade-Georgia O'Keeffe - Perspective-Tree painting

We started off the class by learning about the life of Georgia O'Keeffe and watched a video on Lawrence tree painting. We discussed how O'Keeffe captured the perspective by lying down on the bench and looking in the night sky through the branches of the tree. Students learned to draw the tree in perspective as if they were lying underneath the tree and looking up. We learned to create the texture on the trees and sky and also learned about shading using acrylic paint.
