5th grade- Van Gogh's Starry Night and Sunflowers
5th graders studied about Van Gogh's two important paintings, Starry Night and Sunflowers. We learned about the Post- Impressionism style and how Van Gogh painted from his observations, imagination and memories using short brushstrokes. We also discussed about how Van Gogh used different shades of yellow to paint sunflowers and demonstrated in his paintings without losing the expression.
